just finished watching the episode. it really is a car culture out there, but unfortunately, its more a way of life than just a hunk of metal that has to be faced.
the sooner people stop being afraid of riding a bus with "strangers", the sooner this will be a country with citizens in communities instead of consumers in suburbia.
People are afraid of strangers until they meet a few, and then realize they actually live in a community.
Transit creates civilization.
