Gas-Free Fridays in San Francisco

Gas-Free Fridays are all the rage in SF

With half of all driving trips under two miles in length, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition has a simple idea: let's encourage more people to substitute one short car trip with a bicycle trip just one day a week. So, tell friends and coworkers about how easy riding a bike can be and pedal by the Embarcadero to "Fuel up" at the SFBC energizer station with free Fair Trade Certified coffee, tea and snacks to get your day rolling from 7:30-9:30am.

Here is some local TV coverage, sponsored by a car dealer.

This reminds me of the Breakfast on the Bridge that is handed out of cyclists in Portland.

Yummy snacks and bikes go together well. But how do you carry a coffee?

Buy those coffee canisters and you're set to go. Coffee and bike's actually a good idea. Might do that next time. . .
