A Walking Holiday in San Francisco
"Since I was a teenager, I've been an avid urban walker. It's my favorite way to see a city's buildings and people, its street life and moods. And San Francisco is one of the most walkable cities, anywhere."
I would beg to differ about the walkability of San Francisco. Surely it is one of the most beautiful cities in the USA, but it is nearly ruined by cars. Everytime you step off the curb there is some maniac speeding by in a car.
Why doesn't San Francisco commit more areas to pedestrian zones.
I suggest kicking cars off: - Haight Street - 24th Street - Fisheman's Wharf - Montgomery Street - Most of Chinatown - Market Street - Valencia Street
