"We should have the best transportation system in the world. [Applause.] And we don't." – Vice President Biden at the signing of the stimulus bill Tuesday.
The stimulus bill includes eight billion dollars (1% of the recovery plan) for interstate rail. General Motors and Chrysler received 17.4 billion dollars in a bailout and now ask for 21.6 billion more.
