Great website! Another resource you could add to your "tools and resource" section is the San Luis Obispo Car Free site (www.slocarfree.org). This site as been up and going about a year now and its a great resource for visitors traveling to the Central Coast of California!
yes they do have more parking for bikes than cars, but those people who do drive there in cars are going to be making it impossible for the people who live in that neighborhood parking in front of their homes ... guess no one thought about the neighbors ...
Having spent time cycling in Europe in the late 1950's I know what it is like to see hundreds of bikes on the roads. Like the USA and Canada, Australia seems to have a car culture, so bicycles are less used for practical purposes, but as a hobby or sport - we also lack shared cycle paths which would make cycling safer.
